Larry Mccracken

Larry "Butch" McCracken, 71, of Akron, passed away November 22, 2016. Butch was born in Akron, Ohio on February 12, 1945 to the late Ham and Olive McCracken. He retired from Waste Management after 30+ years of service, where he was a dedicated and hard worker. Butch was a quiet and simple man, but selfless when it came to helping others. He enjoyed his quiet time at Springfield Lake and he will be dearly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. McCracken, and nieces, Sherry Quesenberry and Dana Testerman.

He is survived by his children, Larry "Butch" McCracken, Jr.(wife Amy), Brandy L. McCracken, and Jesse McCracken; sisters, Shirley Artymovich and Peggy Starr; grandchildren, Hailey, Kylee, MacKenzie, Austyn, Aubrey, and Brady McCracken; nieces and nephews, Robbin Miller, Deidre Patterson, Robert McCracken, Andra McCabe, and Matt Starr.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm, with Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305.
