Hannah S. Strunk

Hannah Sue (Owens) Strunk, was born September 26, 1934 in Fleming, KY to Tom and Martha (Adams) Owens, and was welcomed into Heaven on February 10, 2017 by her LORD, her deceased husband George (Tom), daughter Leslie Jo, son Russell, great-granddaughter Winter Kate, her parents, sister Vanessa Owens Looney, and brother Tommy Joe Owens.

Hannah had moved to Stow, OH with her family from Virginia in 1964. Hannah loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. She also enjoyed crocheting, making beaded Christmas ornaments, painting and crafts.

Hannah is survived by her children Katie Sue (Joe) Keene of Houston, TX, and George (Kay) Strunk of Brimfield, OH. Lindell (Cyndi) Strunk of Rootstown, OH, and Robert (Cheryl) Strunk of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Sisters Nancy (Gilbert) Hutchinson of Lawton, OK. Rosemary Bentley, Ellen Mabe of Eastern VA, Janie Owens of Oakwood, VA, Vickie Hall of Eastern VA, and brother, George (Betty) Owens of Grundy, VA. Hannah will also be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Altercare of Brimfield for their loving care of Hannah these last 9 months. We would like to specially thank her aides Jenna, Ashley and Virgil. A special thank you to her nurses Shelly, April and Jennifer.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 12th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A celebration of Hannah's life will immediately follow. Pastor Scott Rockich officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to Millheim Baptist Church, 2661 Hayne Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
