Theresa A. Seger, age 56 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on Thursday May 4, 2017 at 12:35 AM at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on May 25, 1960 in Barberton, the daughter of the late David and Genevieve Rozewicz Kovacs.
Theresa was a 1978 graduate of Ellet High School. She was an accountant for various firms. Theresa was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, she loved to read, loved animals-especially her dogs, Kenny and Boots.
Mrs. Seger was a member of the New Horizons Christian Church, where she was very active in the choir, and praise choir-Jubilation, and she was often co-director of the Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her husband, James F. Seger, whom she married on May 1, 1982; her two children, Adam Seger, Shelby (fiance Dionicio Martinez) Seger; two sisters, Valdene (Dan) Barbuto, and Peggy (Jim) Staubs; one sister-in-law, Clare (Mike) Klasa; her nieces and nephews, Dan (Amy) Barbuto, Sara (Mitch) Jellison, Cole Staubs, Chris (Laurie) Klasa, Mark (Heather) Klasa, Laurie (Josh) Moldovan, and Kristy Klasa.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 6:00 pm at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, where Pastor Jim Bane will celebrate Theresa's life.
Family and friends may visit at the church from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church or to Oak Clinic-Mutilple Sclerosis, 3838 Massillon Road, Suite #360, Uniontown, Ohio 44685, in her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
