Elizabeth E. "Betty" Slater, 92, passed away on May 7, 2017. She was born in Akron on May 22, 1924 to the late George and Mary Arlene Schroeder.
Betty retired from Hillside Memorial Park where she worked as the office manager for over 25 years. In her free time, she loved to play bingo, visit casinos, fishing, and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Darlene Slater and Raymond Slater. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Mitchell and Linda (Tom) Byers; brother, Richard Schroeder; and grandchildren, C.J. Slater (Shawn Brenneman), Steve Byers, Ryan Mitchell, and Spencer Mitchell.
Per Betty's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
