Robert "Bob" Gillespie, 81, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2017. Bob loved his family and enjoyed working even up until his passing. He is preceded in death by Violet "Max" Jackson; son, Daniel Miller; daughter-in-law, Linda Gillespie; parents; and 5 siblings. Bob is survived by children, Robert J. (Kathryn) Gillespie, David Gillespie, Tammie Conner, Dewey (Jane) Gillespie, Ronald Jackson, Karen Stagg; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Doss, Jenny (BJ) Cruse, Timothy Doss, Bradley Marsh, Kera Gillespie, Terressa Staton, Tommy Jackson; great-grandchildren, (Heather) Matthew, Alianna, Robert Doss, (Jenny) Mariah Doss, Odrianah, J'Lynn Cruse, (Jessica) Aubrey, Ava, Alivia Doss.
Friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to be held at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
