Joe B. Dallas, age 96, of Akron, Ohio, died on Monday, June 5, 2017 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
He was born in Akron (the Firestone Park area), on November 15, 1920, the son of the late Joe and Angeline Mozzcopo Dalison.
Joe worked for 40 years at Firestone as a supervisor in the Tire Division. He liked to golf at Firestone Country Club for many years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Ruth Bernice Cartwright Slater, whom he married on January 25, 1996; his step-children, Ron (Joan) Slater, Cindy (Jim) Slater, Sandy Slater-Cooper, and Sheri (Tracy) Slater; his step-grandchildren, David (Wendy) Ruggles, Phillip, Adam, Chrissy, Mikey, Brandie, and Donnie; his great-grandchildren, Sarah, David, Isabella, TJ, Ryan, Ali, Dustin, Rodney, Danielle, Kalie, Donnie, Jr., Destiny, and Ayane.
Other than his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his step-son, George Slater; and his siblings, Frank, Mary, Rose, Sam, Mimi, and Babe.
There will not be any services or calling hours and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
Joe's cremated remains will be placed at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
