Donald L. Anderson, 68, died Saturday October 7, 2017 comfortably at his sister's home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
He leaves his parents, Tom and Helen Anderson; brothers and sisters, Tommy (Kitty), Patty and Rose; children, Brian and Christine; their mother, Sue Popa; grandchildren, Dustin, Austin, Bethany and Isabella; companion of 16 years, Cindy; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family wishes to thank Hospice Summa at home for the nurses, Annie and Rene and aide, Nicole, who cared for him.
Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron 44305 on Tuesday October 10 from 6pm-8pm and again on Wednesday October 11 from 12pm-1pm, with a funeral service to immediately follow. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
