Robert Allen Coddington

Robert Allen Coddington, 81, passed away at his home on January 23, 2018. He was born in Piedmont, WV to the late Aubrey and Willabelle Coddington on October 28, 1936. He was a veteran in the US Air Force. Robert received the Honorary Alumni Award from the University of Akron for his donation of scholarships to biology students. He worked at General Tire and retired from Weaver Schools.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; brother, Ron; and sister, Sharon. He is survived by his son, Eric (Debbie); brother, Dick (Kay) and friend and companion, Judith Dickey and her family who thought the world of Bob; the Woicehovich family, Vincent Sr., Kristine, Vincent Jr., Cody and Hannah; and the Elder/Patterson family, James, Kimberly and Tyler,; and friend, Bill Elder. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at 3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Brother Larry Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
