Robert Lee Lucas

Robert Lee Lucas, age 69, of Burbank, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2018 at 5:00 AM at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on October 3, 1948 in Akron, the son of the late Eldon Emerson and Ruth Lorvina (nee Adkins) Lucas, Sr.
Robert was an upholsterer for various companies in the area. His crowning moment and career achievement was when he upholstered President Harding's leather chair. Mr. Lucas enjoyed shooting guns in competition. He also liked Bible study, loved traveling, but the greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Stephen S. Lucas of Strasburg, Ohio and Michelle Lee Lucas of Morral, Ohio; his grandchildren, Lateesha McDonald (whom he helped raise) of Cleveland and Donnie Griffin; and his former wife and friend, Nancy B. Lucas of Paris, Arkansas
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery-Uniontown, 3657 Northdale Street, Uniontown, Ohio 44685, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM, his children will preside and celebrate their father's life.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305.
