Goldie M. Hedrick

Goldie "Penny" Hedrick, 73, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2018. Penny was born on December 6, 1944 in St. George, WV to the late Jackson and Lucile Miner. Penny had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. She attended Cornerstone FMC and loved spending time with children, especially babies. She spent many years fostering children and dedicating her life to being an amazing and wonderful mother and wife.

In addition to her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Moore.

Penny will be deeply missed by her husband of 53 years, Roy Hedrick; daughters, Lissie (James) Pry, Brittny (Benjamin) Jones, and Ashley Hedrick; grandchildren, Emilia Jones, and Raylon Morrill; siblings, Charles (Mary) Miner, Jim (Utahna) Moore, Marie Queen, Sue Myers, and Fred (Carol) Miner; also many nieces and nephews, and close family friends.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Friday May 25, 2018 to visit from 10am until the time of service at 12pm. The funeral ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Brenda Young.
