Mary Elizabeth Pugh (Lent)

Mary Elizabeth Pugh (Lent) passed away on July 16, 2018. She was born in Duncan, West Virginia on October 23, 1922 to parents Edward and Sarah (VanFosson) Lent. Mary graduated from Gilmore High School with the class of 1941. Mary came to Akron in 1942 and worked at the Goodyear Aircraft as a Rosie the Riveter until the end of World War II. Mary and her husband owned and operated Artcraft Cleaners on Kenmore Blvd for 53 years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sarah Lent; husband, Don Pugh; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by sister, Pearl Allen; brother, John Lent; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Private burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
