Robert G. Harvey, 83, passed away on August 14, 2018. He was born May 8, 1935 in Akron and was a graduate of East High School, class of 1953. Robert was a veteran of the US Army and retired from General Tire after 40 years of service.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Fred (Shirley). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; children, Michael, Lisa (Scott) Pocock, Ann; grandson, Sean; sister, Joyce (Herbert) Nichols; sister-in-law, Marilyn Harvey; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 10am-12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service at 12pm. Father Mike Williamson officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron to follow.
