Leslie E. Bible

Leslie E. Bible "Bud", 92, joined his wife in the presence of the Lord on August 23, 2018. He was born in Canton, OH to the late Leslie A. and Margaret Bible. Leslie served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Olsen Destroyer. He participated in the invasion of Normandy Beach. He also retired from the City of Akron after over 30 years of service and served as a hospice volunteer. As a young family they enjoyed camping and scouting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; and sisters, Shirley Carmack and Marie Wine. Leslie is survived by his sons, Donald, Dennis (Carol) and David (Sharon) Bible; grandchildren, Daniel, Greg, Devin, Scott, and Amy; great-grandchildren, Daphne, Dashiell, Henry and Daniel Bible, and Addison and Aiden Petry.

Family will receive friends on Sunday August 26, 2018 from 4-6pm and funeral service will be held on Monday August 27, 2018 at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment Tallmadge Cemetery.
