David W. Riley, 58, of Tallmadge, arrived at his ultimate destination in heaven on September 18, 2018.
David leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Connie; half-sister, Kim Davis (Dana); sisters-in-law, Ellen Maricle and Rhonda (Randy) Hecker; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues who are too many to list here.
He was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, and sister, Brenda Riley.
After graduating high school, David started Riley Builders. He was only 19 years old when he built his first house, and he went on to build many more over the years.
Several years later, he became involved in commercial building with Tony Troppe and the Everett Group, where he spent the last 30 years changing the face of the city of Akron. David was a true self-made man, carpenter, and general contractor.
He loved golfing, playing pool, and hunting but more than that, he loved his wife beyond measure. The one thing he did every night without fail was to tuck her into bed. She is lost as we all are without him!
A tribute to David's life will be held on Sep. 29th at 3pm to 7pm at Dave & Connie's residence.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
