Timothy Scott Smith

Timothy Scott Smith, 57, of Canal Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2018. He was born in Akron on February 17, 1961. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Tim was a member of Local 18 Operating Engineers. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle. He loved football and playing the bass guitar. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Smith; father, Donald Smith; mother Mary Susan Smith Peerman; stepfather, Jimmie Peerman; brother, Donald "Allan" Smith, and grandmother, Patricia Gray. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Scott Smith and Shawn Smith; grandchildren, Ashley, Collin, Clinton, Claire, Anthony, and Timothy Smith; aunt, Helen Bragg; niece, Loretta Smith; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 5-6:30 followed by a 6:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park at a later date.
