Connie Lynn Hamman, 69, died peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 after an extended illness. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Francis Hamman and Merrita June Zacker. Born on February 15, 1949, Connie was a life-long resident of Akron, Ohio. She was educated through the Akron Roman Catholic parochial school system and worked in Emergency as a supply tech and as an EKG tech at Akron City Hospital until her retirement in 2016. Connie had a great sense of humor, loved the Amish Country, enjoyed traveling, and loved animals especially her dog Bentley. She was a devoted friend to those who were blessed to have her in their lives. A woman of great faith and humility, Connie possessed a gracious generosity of spirit and gratitude. She was indeed one of the sweetest persons one had the privilege of having met or known. Connie was also an active member of Church of Our Saviour (Episcopal), where she served on the Altar Guild and the ushers. Connie will be greatly missed by those who loved her dearly especially Vicki Capes, Marsha Morlan, Sue Papp, and Kathy Little.
A memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. at Church of Our Saviour, 471 Crosby Street, Akron where her funeral service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. A reception will be held in the church parish hall immediately following the service.
