Robert Mcintyre

Robert "Mac" McIntyre, 71, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2019 after a long battle with Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson's. He retired from the Akron Public Schools maintenance department and was known as "Blossom Bob" at Blossom Music Center for maintaining all the beer lines. Mac enjoyed singing karaoke at Dusty's with all of his friends, teaching and practicing Jujitsu, and had a great love of animals.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Beulah; brother, Fred; and sister, Betty. He is survived by the love of his life, Lynn; children, Jeff (Victoria), Terri (Ed) Round; grandsons, Michael and Zach, Ryan and Jake; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Joy; many nieces and nephews; and best friends, Phil and Sandy.

A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, January 21 from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to One Of A Kind Pets or the ASPCA. The family would like to thank the staff at Jackson Ridge, especially Rob and Tina, for the excellent care.
