Michael Brian Mellinger

Michael B. Mellinger, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2019.

He was born on August 13th, 1993 to Robert Downey and Kelly Selman in Akron, Ohio.

Mikey enjoyed many things in life including spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, watching old western movies and most of all fishing.

He spent most of his working career driving box trucks for companies, but would work odds and ends to make extra money. Mikey's heart was filled with nothing but love and kindness for others.

Preceding him in death are, his grandmothers, Karen Selman and Connie Downey; his grandpa, Bill Downey; his aunt, Tara Kennell; and his brother, Robert Downey Jr.

Mikey is survived by his mother, Kelly Selman and his father, Robert Downey; his step-father, John Nease; his father figures, Donald Whittington, Mike Rusu Sr., and his grandpa, Gary Pinkerton; his siblings, Eric Wease, Danielle Downey, Melissa Selman (Matt), Donald Whittington II, Kaitlynn Rusu, and Nicholas Downey; his nieces and nephews, Robert Downey Jr., Leann Smith, James Downey Jr., Thompson Selman, Kialeigh Rusu, Lucas Roosa, and Harley Kelly; his aunts and uncles, Stephanie (Dave B.), Shannon (Julie), Michael (Deanna), Shane (Melissa), Tonya, Joyce (Byron), Michelle, Dave A., Dave K., Bill, Karl, Steve (Teresa), John (Debbie), and Jimmy (Rita); his cousins, John Jr., David R. Selman, Samantha (Gage), Jason (Kristin), Douglas (Amanda), Sharon (Anthony), David (Amanda), Brandon, Justin (Sarah), Bryant (Katie), Tyler, Kristina (Jon), Kourtnie (Kalah), Katie (Troy), Koty, Emily, Jaimy (James), Jessica (Joe), David Lee, Allison (Dave), Autumn, Lilly, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Tristin, Natalie, and Shane Jr.; his best friends, Devin Morlan, Bryan James, Brian Combs, and Katie Lanham. He also had many second cousins that he cared and loved very much.
