John Becker Jr.

John Becker Jr., 91, passed away June 9, 2019. He was born January 18, 1928 in Akron Ohio, graduated from Springfield High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Force a proud veteran of World War II. John's legacy, as a caring loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather will be remembered by all he touched. Preceded in death by parents, John and Kathryn; son, Michael; sister, Gertrude (Walter) Arfons; brother, Vern (Marjorie) Becker. Survived by the love of his life, wife Mary Ellen; daughters, Gay Lynn (George) Longauer, Kimberly (Bob) Meaney; son, Scott (Tonya) Becker; and many grand and great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd., Akron, OH 44312 followed by services at 11 a.m.
