Linda L. Scott

Linda L. Scott, age 74, of Akron, Ohio, died on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center.
She was born on January 3, 1945 in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold and Lucille (nee Strong) Buck.
Linda was most known for her gardening; she also was the "neighborhood mom"-she had many sons and daughters. Linda loved animals and was an avid reader. Linda primarily raised her four boys as a single mom, she would sacrifice herself so that her sons had everything they needed.
Survivors include her four sons, Richard J. Scott, Randy L. Scott, Robert A. (Rene') Scott and William L. (Melinda "Mindy") Scott; a very special "son", Robert "Bob" Schneider; her grandchildren, Kristopher, Vincent, Sophia, Spencer, Grace, Jackson, Michael, Alexander, Tobias and Samuel Scott; and one great-granddaughter, Kaycee Scott. Also surviving is Linda's companion of 26 years, Louis Williams.
Other than her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Richard "Dicky" Buck.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Paul Snoddy will celebrate Linda's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
