Donna Rose Phelps

Donna Rose Phelps, 80, of Akron, passed away on August 14, 2019. Donna was born in Medina on September 11, 1938 to the late Lawrence and Marie Kennedy. Donna retired from St. Thomas Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Akron for 46 years and Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church in Florida. Donna enjoyed spending time with family and her friends at Iona Ranch Park in Florida. She loved to bake, do crafts and play bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband John of 57 years, and brother, Lawrence. She is survived by daughters, Donna (Steve) Snyder, Corinne (Michael) Badgett and Melinda Watkins; grandchildren, Danielle (Jason) Miller, Stephanie Snyder (Ger), Melanie King, Jacqui (Adam) Liddle, Christopher Badgett, Cashus and Nathan Snyder; great-grandchildren, Austin Miller, Alyssa Miller, Gianna Miller, Tristan Liddle, Luke Liddle, Evangeline King and Cooper Liddle; sister, Arlene Newcomer; and brother, Calvin (Gayle) Kennedy.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, August 24 from 2pm to 4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a memorial service will follow at 4pm.
