Andrew Ross lost his courageous battle from colon cancer on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Andrew Ross was born on August 11, 1981 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Patricia Spoerndle-Ross and the late Kenneth Ross.
He graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1999. He played basketball, baseball, and excelled in soccer, being selected for the All-Star team competition. In 2010, he earned an Associates Degree in Medical Office Technology from Fortis College and was the valedictorian of his program. He was last employed at Team Health where he earned respect and admiration of his co-workers.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ross.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Spoerndle-Ross; his uncles, Paul Ross (Becky, dec'd), Thomas Spoerndle (Debbie), John Spoerndle (Regenia) and his aunt, Sandra Spoerndle-Sayre (David); many cousins, special buddy, "Prince", special friends, Todd and Amy Sledzick, Heather Campbell, Marcea Campbell, Eric Towsley, and many more friends.
Andrew remained very positive during his cancer struggles and continued helping others in his caring and self-less ways. Special thanks to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Center for their loving care and Cara RN from Cleveland Clinic Home Health Agency.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, followed by a 4:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Joel Cochran, officiating, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
