Yvonne Helen Hopkins

Yvonne H. Hopkins, age 97 of Suffield, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 5, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Catasauqua, PA on June 10, 1924 to the late Robert and Elizabeth {Wissler} Sweigart.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband Edgar B. Hopkins.
Yvonne will be dearly missed by her children Mitchell (Clarice), Bruce (Grace) and Brent (Cindy) Hopkins and Nicole Maughan; grandchildren Heather (Ben) Leonard, Megan (Justin) Smith, Jason (Kristin) Hopkins, Eric (Christy) Hopkins, Melissa (Phil) Luthman, Stephanie (Noah) Miller and Britina (Thomas Deneen) Freeze; 15 great-grandchildren.
Yvonne was a member of Tallmadge Alliance Church, and served as a Deaconess for several years.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Tallmadge Alliance Church, 1155 East Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278 at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Yvonne will be laid to rest privately with Edgar at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, after services.
