George L. Stallard
George L. Stallard, 68, of Akron, went home to be with Jesus on August 7, 2007. George was born August 14, 1938 in Wise Co., VA. He was employed in real estate for over 35 years, most recently with Pat Boyle Realty. George was a member of the Mogadore Moose 1082 and the Ellet Senior Center. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and playing cards. George was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Ruth (Gilliam) Stallard; brothers, Aaron, Paul, and Gerald David; and his wife, Lillian. George is survived by his wonderful wife, Ruth; daughters, Cyndy (Larry) Hartline and Kim (Tom) Stock of Tallmadge, and Kelly Stallard (Ken Weese) of Akron; stepdaughter, Geni (Kevin) Holland of Virginia Beach; brothers, Roger (Faye) and Doug (Brenda) of Virginia; sister, Joyce Ramey of Indiana; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna Lea Stallard, Nancy Stallard, Barb Trout, Dorthy Butler, Don and Gaynell Mellott, and Don and Pat Abele; grandchildren, Joseph, Jillian, and Madison; step-grandchildren, Taylor (Sean), Kyle, Jennifer (Gary), Kevin (Theresa), Brianne, Nicholas, Michael, Anne and Joey; and step-greatgrandchildren, Bryanna, Emily, and Riley. Funeral services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with visitation from 10:30 - 12:30, Nancy Stallard officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice of VNS.
