Michelle Renee "Shelly" Barton passed away on June 1, 2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 15, 1972 to Bruce and Gloria Barton of Stow, Ohio.
She grew up in Stow and graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 1991. Shelly attended The University of Akron and loved studying geology. She loved rocks, the beach, reading and animals.
Shelly leaves behind her parents Gloria and Bruce; daughter Ariel Marx of Orlando; son Andrew Murray of Canal Fulton; brothers Adam Barton of Kent and Douglas Barton of Stow; nephew Dallas and niece Landrie; special friends Charity McKenzie, Tonya Ferry, Janice Hansen and Shannon Marshall, who took wonderful care of Shelly. She also leaves many cousins, other relatives and friends.
All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Wednesday, June 8, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., when a celebration of Shelly's life will begin.
