Margaret Luella Bower

Margaret Luella "Peggy" Bower, age 71 of Kent passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was born on December 26, 1950, the daughter of the late Clyde and Marilyn {Coulson} Rhodes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Colleen Rhodes.

Peggy will always be loved by her husband of 30 years, Paul Bower; daughter Sue (Keith) Carpenter; grandchildren Kiera Williams, Keyanna Brooks, Alexus Julian-Diehl and Marti Carpenter; great-grandchildren Da-lynn, DJ and Tronne; sister Lois (Elmer) Brooks, Joyce (Jim) Weiser, Phyllis (Lyle) Summers and Cyndi (Eric) Mann; brother John Rhodes; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Peggy graduated from Kent-Roosevelt High School, class of 1969. She worked at Kent State University's Health Center as a Nurse's Aide and in Medical Records for 30 years. Peggy was a lifelong member of Christian Life Center in Kent, and enjoyed Bible Study and crocheting blankets for others. She was known for writing encouraging cards and letters to lift her friends' spirits. Peggy loved to laugh, and her family was her whole world. Her daughter Sue was her pride and joy, and her husband Paul was the love of her life.

Peggy's family would like to extend their gratitude to Amanda Griffiths, her home health aide, Altercare of Hartville, and Absolute Hospice for their compassionate care.
