Gwen L. Pfeiffer, 68, a life long area resident, went to be with her Jesus on March 5, 2008. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls to Ed and Muriel Bartholomew on November 17, 1939. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bill; brother, Gary; and sister, Wendy. She is survived by her sons, Tracy (Debbie) and Steve (Mary) Pfeiffer; sisters, Gail Stahl, Cheri Odum, and Sally Fiorella, all of Akron; three granddaughters, Tracy Pfeiffer of Pittsburgh, April Michaels and Breanna Roark of Archer, FL; stepgrandson, Roy Turner; and three great-grandchildren, Ean, Cole, and Tuesday. Family and friends may call TODAY from 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
