Clayton B. Schley
It is with deep sadness that the family of Clayton B Schley announces his unexpected passing on August 2, 2022. The most important thing to Clayton was spending time with family, friends and his pets. He loved playing golf, Cornhole and working on special projects to help other people. He took great pride in his work as an independent drywall contractor and the friendships he made along the way. Clayton and his brother Doug also made it a weekly routine to stop and give food to homeless people on the streets.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Ruth Schley; stepmom Eileen Machan Schley; and niece Cassandra Schley-May. He leaves to cherish his memory with siblings Doug Schley, Renee Schley May (James) and Craig Schley (Lori), step siblings David Machan, Bill Machan, Karen Lynch and Diane Machan (Johan de Meij); niece Lyndsey Schley and nephew Ben Schley-May; Aunt Penny Carpenter (Fred) and many other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N Munroe Rd, Tallmadge OH 44278. Calling hours will start at 11:00 am and the memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon. Food and refreshments will follow the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers please send donations to animal shelters, Heaven Can Wait or Paws and Prayers.
