Cynthia Lee Strunk (Hall), 63, passed away on September 26, 2022. Cyndi was born May 12th, 1959 in Akron, OH. A lifelong resident of Rootstown, Cyndi enjoyed living within just a few miles of many family members and visited her mother Marian nearly every day. Cyndi and her husband Lindell built a wonderful life on Sanford Road, sharing their home with a series of dogs, including their special Sugar and Gabe, as well as filling their barn with Cyndi's adored Tennessee Walking horses.
Cyndi was beautiful inside and out. She was one of the most intelligent, intuitive, and compassionate people her family knew. She earned her Master's Degree in Accounting and had a successful career as a CPA. Cyndi was a friend to all animals and found great joy in fostering miniature ponies for Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary. She happily pet sat whenever anyone in her family asked and made room for every stray cat that found its way to her barn. Cyndi enjoyed yoga, music, gardening, and working in her greenhouse. She loved spending time in nature while hiking and camping, especially in the Great Smoky Mountains and Sedona, Arizona. Cyndi was an accomplished equestrian and won numerous blue ribbons and championships as a competitor in the show ring. She loved trail riding locally at West Branch State Park and in her beloved Smoky Mountains. The loving care she gave her horses was unmatched.
Cyndi's truest passion was her family. Cyndi loved her stepdaughter Jessica like her own and treasured their special relationship. She was the love of her husband's life and made him a better man. The much-loved oldest child of four, she brought warmth and laughter to every holiday gathering and family get together. Her sisters will fondly remember the concerts and girls' trips they shared. She patiently endured her younger brother's pestering and laughed at most of his bad jokes. Known affectionately as Binnie to her nieces and nephews and Pa-Innie to her grandchildren, she never forgot a birthday and made everyone feel special. Whether it was introducing her nieces to the world of horseback riding, playing in her backyard pool with her nephews, or visiting her grandchildren on vacation, she loved every minute of time spent with the young people in her life. She taught them more lessons than she knew.
When you think of Cyndi, smile and be grateful she was in your life. If she loved you, you never doubted that she was happy to be in yours. Cyndi will be missed more than words can describe, but her family will always see her in the mountains of Tennessee and feel her as the sunshine on their shoulders.
In lieu of gifts, Cyndi's family requests donations be made in her honor to Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary (www.happytrailsfarm.org)
