Yvonne Morton, 86, of Akron passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022. A lifelong resident of Akron, Yvonne was born on December 13, 1935 to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth {Stancil} Foshee.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her former husband, Maurice C. Morton, and their son, Maurice C. Morton II.
Yvonne will always be loved by her daughter Germaine Morton; grandchildren Tiffany Morton, Ray A. (Lyse) Barnes II and Heather Y. Barnes; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Cassie Lee Anderson, Delores Howard, Gilbert "Theron" (Delores) Foshee, William (Margaret) Foshee, Janie Foshee and Ayesha Nurruddin; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
You always knew what Yvonne was thinking, never mind your opinion about it. She loved to cook, play cards, party with her loved ones, and was selfless to the end. Her granddaughter Heather remembers her as one of the most loving, giving people, who would literally give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Yvonne loved her great-grandkids, and spoiled them with home-cooked meals.
