Norma Vawn Weaver Stewart, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 94 on December 13th, 2022.
Norma was born July 3rd, 1928, in Akron, Ohio and graduated from East High School in 1946. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Harold Stewart, and her parents, Rayman and Bernice Weaver. Norma is survived by her son Mark Stewart and his wife Ann, daughter Jill Holroyd and her husband Douglas, brother-in-law Robert Stewart and his wife Linda, grandchildren Veronica, Jessica, Rachel, Nicholas, Mallory, and Taylor, and great-grandchildren Jamison and Lucas.
Norma loved music, reading, crossword puzzles, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. She was a happy quilter and made beautiful quilts, one for each of her six grandchildren. More than anything, she loved her family and loved spending time with them. She had a quick and sharp wit, and she brought humor into every life she touched. She was known for her lighthearted attitude, her dedication to her family, and her kind and generous spirit. Norma always ensured that everyone who entered her home felt welcome and her grandchildren fondly remember summers spent at her house.
Norma married the love of her life, Harold, in 1950 and they spent 68 wonderful years together. Norma played piano and was the church organist at Goodyear Heights Community Church for many years. She and Harold were then active members of First Baptist Church of Tallmadge. Norma and Harold both volunteered together at Summa Health System, with Norma completing over 13,650 volunteer hours over the course of 31 years. They also liked traveling and enjoyed many trips together all over the United States and Canada.
Norma is lovingly and forever remembered by her family.
