Dennis C. Bennett

Dennis C. Bennett, 79, from Springfield township passed away on July 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. Dennis was born on November 19, 1943 the son of the late Dorsey and Iva Bennett. Dennis proudly served the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired after 43 years of dedicated service from Babcock & Wilcox. He enjoyed softball, fishing, cooking, reading the comic strips in the newspaper, and being around family. He will be remembered for always being quick to smile, fun loving, and having much love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Rosanna, Denzel, Dale, Marie and Donna.
Dennis is survived by his love of his life for 37 years, Naomi E. Bennett; daughter Tracy (Robert) Stump; sons Kelly (Debra) Brown and Kevin (Debbie) Brown; sister Kathleen Lozier; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 K-9 children, Pepper and Shelby; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23rd, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held on Monday , July 24th, at 11:00AM.
Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
