Patricia L. Metcalf

Patricia L. Metcalf, 76, of Akron, passed away on July 22, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on September 6, 1946, daughter of the late Walter and Dorthy Cartwright of Owensboro, KY. Patricia dedicated 20 years to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co before retiring. She enjoyed bird watching, conversations with her brother, and making beautiful gifts for her family. By far, Patricia's greatest love was spending time with her family, often times over a fresh cup of coffee and a home cooked meal. Pat would start each morning bright and early, with a heartfelt text to each one of her children and grandchildren to let them know how special they were and that she loved them unconditionally. She wanted all of her family to know that she was thinking of them every single day. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She was persistent at attending, sporting events, concerts, and other extracurricular activities that her grandchildren were involved in. She will always be remembered as "Nana" with the biggest loving heart and caring spirit. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved daughter Tracey (Metcalf) Jensen.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John Metcalf; children Michelle "Shelly" Nance, Edward (Denise) Sees, Diane Zarlingo, Jami (Matt) Eshleman, and John (Melisa) Metcalf Jr.; grandchildren Halie, Samantha, Mya, Jessica, Ashley (Danny), Emma, Breane, Jessica, Isabella, Evalyn, Daniel, Jack, John III, Shelton, Cole, and Lydia; great-granddaughter Ezmaya; brother Jess (Claudia)Cartwright, nieces and nephew; son-in-law Troy Jensen; and many other relatives and friends.

Inurnment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
