James Edward Fannin

James Edward Fannin, 79, passed away on December 29, 2023. He was born on August 27, 1944 to the late Fred and Josie {Cochran} Fannin.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; their son Steve Aaron Fannin; brothers Fred, Arnold, Ray and Paul; sisters Molly, Vade, Ina, Alice and Helen.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Rowena Sue Bauman, Teresa Wilson and Gary (Chrystal) Fannin; brother-in-law, David (Juanita) Williams; sister-in-law, Georgia Swann; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
James retired in 2006 from Cargill after over 40 years of service. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family, hunting and fishing, and watching college basketball games.
At James' request, family and friends are welcome to attend a brief service on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:30 am in the chapel at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph, 1700 Hartville Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260. To leave a special message for the family please visit the guestbook below.
