Arnold Argenio

Arnold Argenio, 76, passed away on July 8, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center after a courageous 3 years battle with cancer. Arnold was born in Akron and lived the last 39 years in Tallmadge. He was the owner of Argenio Service. His hobbies included restoring his century old home, organic gardening and visiting Amish country. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Rosemary Argenio; brother, Thomas; and son, Arnold Jr. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 48 years, Barbara; daughter, Mary Demrovsky of Wadsworth; sons, Carl Cunningham of Louisville and Joseph Argenio of Tallmadge; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred of Tallmadge and John of N. Carolina; sister, Ann Spagnola of Cuyahoga Falls; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Reverends Willie Smith and Bob Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service and Katie for the care and dignity given to Arnold in the last months of his life. God bless them.
