Martha A. Wallace, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center. She retired from Texize/Dow Chemical at age 62, and continued working until she was 77. Martha was an avid bingo player, loved to get her hair done, and adored her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sadie Jones; and sister, Hazel Via. Martha is survived by her children, Sandra Stearns, Patricia Heflin, and James (Jennifer) Wallace; grandchildren, Jennifer Wallace, Stephanie Heflin, Cameron Wallace, and Colton Wallace; great-grandchildren, Monique Knox, Eric Knox, Jr., Kiya Neloms, Milia Neloms, Calie Wallace, and Kylie Wallace; soon-to-be great-great-grandson, Logan Campbell; cousins, Robert Allen, Johnnie and Ruth Via; and many other loving family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 29, from 11 am to 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where services will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment at Ellet Cemetery.
