Karen Sue McClelland (Crowe),44, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011. She was surrounded by many loving and caring family members. She was a blessed Mother, Sister, Aunt and Wife.
Karen was born to Neil and Eleanor Crowe in Akron, Ohio. She spent her life caring for those around her, bringing joy into countless lives and being faithful to her one true love - the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her doors were always open and no one was quicker to bring a smile or laugh to your face. Her laughter and storytelling lit up every room. When you were Karen's friend, you were a friend for life. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
She was survived by her husband Rick; Mother Eleanor; Son Andrew; Daughters: Alysha and Amy; Precious Grandson Paul; Sisters: Bonnie (Gary), Connie, Christine, Loretta, Julie, Cindy (Bob), Cathy, Elizabeth (Bob); Brothers: Steve (Tracy), Tim (Carla), Curt, Frank, John and David; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; countless cousins and life long friends Tina, Ronnie Lee and Stacy. She was preceded in death by her father and brother Roger. Special thanks to her sister Chrissy for the loving support she provided.
A celebration of life will be held at the Akron Bible Church, 783 Brown Street, on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to the One of a Kind Pet Rescue to honor Karen's love and devotion to her dog Bruce.
