John J. Reynolds

John J. Reynolds, age 69, resident of Akron, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born on November 17, 1943 to the late Walter and Eloise Reynolds. John was a member of the Akron Chess Club and a longtime member of Falls Creek Community Church in Munroe Falls. He served his country during Vietnam with the USMC and belonged to his local VFW.

Preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Barbara and Carol Reynolds. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda; children, Rebecca (Joshua) Ison and Rixey Swift; siblings, Mareta (Chuck) Drongoski, Betty (Dick) Pastoria, William Reynolds, Judy (Arthur) Willems and Jack Rouser; numerous nieces and nephews; his special furry companions, Gracee, Stark and Jaden.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Falls Creek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Ave, Munroe Falls, OH 44262 with Dr. Michael Thomas officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service, from 9 to 11 AM. Final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with a graveside service at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
