Mary G. Eakin, 84, of Akron, passed away January 27, 2014. She was born in Nicut, WV on April 15, 1929 to the late Clay and Seretha (King) Sears. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Blair; son, Joseph Clay; grandson, Richard B. Kisner.
Mary lived most of her life in Akron. She loved to garden, travel, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Mary will be greatly missed by her son James (Elizabeth) Eakin of New York; daughters Linda (Charles) Starcher and Barbara Kisner, both of Akron; daughter-in-law, Barbara Eakin of Rootstown; six grandchildren, Wm. Byrd, Wm. Eakin, Christie (Jon) Kraus, James (Jaime) Kisner, Robert (Deidre) Eakin and Irina Eakin; nine great-grandchildren, Austin Walker Sullivan, Trevor and Tyler Eakin, Jaden, Jared, Julia and Jimmy Kisner, Lauren and Nathan Kraus; brother, Delbert (Jean) Sears; sisters, Olena Pyle and Delores Church; sister-in-law, Kathleen Sears; special kitty, Kit Kat Pepper.
