Delores "Reo" Shingles Lykes, 77, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home in Akron. She was born October 11, 1936 in Hazard County, Kentucky to the late William and Emma Baker. She was the 8th of 10 children born to this union. She retired as Administrator from Middlebury Manor.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents and her loving daughter, Vickie Shingles, brothers, Marcus, Ralph Sr., William Jr. and Donald, sisters, Helen, Juanita and Nellie. She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Sherrie Antoine; sisters, Thelma Payne and Gwendolyn (John) Bryant; granddaughter DelReo Monique (Brandon) Crawley, grandsons Donnie Jr. and Elle Antoine; great granddaughter Donae Hampton. Special nephews; William, Michael, and Timmy, and special cousin Odrea. A host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
To honor Delores' wishes, no public services will be observed.
