James E. Kelley
James E. Kelley, 68, of Akron, passed away May 25, 2014. He was born in Akron on June 9, 1945 to the late Harold and Grace Kelley. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966, worked for Seiberling Tire and Rubber, and retired from Victor Gelb in 2008. Jim's passion was bass fishing. Jim was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Bengals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Plant; brother, Charles Kelley; and nephews, Wyatt Plant and Frank Seesdorf. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda; children, David (Judi) Kelley, Cindy (Jon) Seeker, and Christopher Kelley; grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel), Venessa (Mikey), Christopher, Kevin, Maddie, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Noah and Addison; Jim's favorite sister-in-law and their families; many nieces and nephews. Jim's family wishes to thank the oncology department at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center for all the care given to him.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106.
