Donna Wemyss

Donna P (Weyand) Wemyss, 79, of Tallmadge, passed away on August 15, 2014. Donna was born in Akron (Springfield Township) Ohio on August 18, 1934 to the late Argyl and Juanita Vorhies. Donna retired from Lembo's after 30 years of service. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and her grandkids. In addition to her parents Donna was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Thomas and Thad Weyand. She is survived by her son, Jeff Weyand; daughter, Crystal Rix and special friend, Cindy Tyson; daughter-in-laws, Dinah Weyand and Teri Weyand; grandchildren, Thomas, Nancy, Michael, Scott, Katie, Donna, Danielle, Dustin, Erika, Thad, Tyler and Gabi; many great grandchildren; brother, Donald Vorhies, sister, Joyce Davis, brother, Tim Vorhies and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron a memorial service will follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Summa Hospice.
