Aaron Raymond Propst

June 27, 1982 — July 19, 2022

Aaron Raymond Propst, age 40, of Stow, Ohio, was called home on July 19, 2022 after a fiercely fought battle with cancer. Aaron was born in Akron, Ohio on June 27, 1982 to parents Robert and Mary (nee Ogle) Propst. He grew up in Boston Heights, Ohio helping his Grandpa Propst work in his antique shop and go to auctions.

Aaron is survived by his wife of 10 years, Pamela (nee Burke) Propst, his two children, Aaron Propst (age 12) and Mackenzie Propst (age 10); his parents, Robert and Mary (nee Ogle) Propst; his brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Propst; nieces and nephews, Brittney (Drew) Robinson, Mariah Propst, Grace Propst, Bobby Propst, Katelyn Rogers, Gracie Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Austin Rogers, Richard Hall III; and new great-niece, Juniper Joy; his in-laws, Jerry Burke, Jennifer (Richard) Hall, and William (Candi) Rogers and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Robert (Eugenia) Propst, Carl (Fran) Ogle and Martha (nee Briggs) Ogle; and his mother-in-law, Patricia (nee Bowen) Burke.

At age 19, Aaron began working for Polystar where he travelled around the country building secondary containment systems for the military. He loved working with his hands and creating things. Aaron loved travelling, especially with his family. He was in his element on long road trips. He also loved the Cuyahoga Valley National Parks where he would hike and fish and explore with his family. Aaron was an amazing family man. He loved his family so strongly and would do absolutely anything for them. He was so proud to be a father. He was an amazing son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. Aaron loved helping people. He was always everyone's first call and would drop everything and show up.

Anyone who knew Aaron knew that he loved the Indianapolis Colts. He was dedicated to his team and made sure everyone knew it. Aaron was an avid bowler, dart player, billiards player and scrabble player and loved playing with family and friends and teaching his kids. He was absolutely hilarious and could make anybody laugh. He loved Mopars and spending time with his former boss, Dave (Annette) Kroger, and loved them like family. He spread so much joy throughout his life and showed us all what true strength really is. He left such a huge hole in all of our hearts, but we find strength from our memories and taking forward all the wisdom that Aaron taught us.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Aaron's oncology team at Seidman Cancer Center, Dr. Burkitt, Dr. Dorth, social worker Cassidy Neuman, and nurse Courtney for being so loving and caring and for helping us get a year with Aaron that we would not have otherwise had. He loved you all so much.
