Ada R. Simmons, 77, passed away on December 28, 2006. She was born in Akron on March 29, 1929 to the late Harley and Vinnie Morgan. Ada was a former member of the Akron Baptist Temple and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She had worked at Eaton Corporation and retired from Ravenna Lamp Plant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dallas B. Simmons; and brothers Harley Morgan, Jr. and Charles Morgan. Survivors include daughter Linda (Howard) Beatty; sister Edna (Ruel) Davis; grandchildren Aaron (Wendy), Christopher, and Steve (Laura) Beatty; and great-grandchildren Zachary, Ian, Craig, and Brynn Beatty. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Harborlight Hospice and the staff at Kent Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W.
