Adam Greifenstein
Adam Greifenstein, 74, of Akron, passed away August 15, 2010. He was born November 2, 1935 in Belecska, Hungary and resided in Regensburg, Germany until emigrating to the United States in 1957. He proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard as a staff sergeant E6. Adam enjoyed playing and watching soccer, gardening, and being outside in his yard. He especially loved visiting and playing with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and is dearly loved by all. He was preceded in death by his baby son; parents, Jakob and Anna Maria Greifenstein; and parents-in-law, Harold and Berniss Milhoan Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Milhoan Greifenstein; daughters, Dr. Elaine Greifenstein of Hermitage, PA, Dr. Ann Greifenstein Neff (Dr. Guy Neff) of Bradenton, FL, and Susan Gilbert (Michael) of Uniontown, OH; brothers, Jakob Greifenstein (Anna deceased), Heinrich Greifenstein (Dorothea deceased), Johann Greifenstein (Gerlinde) all of Regensburg, Germany; brothers-in-law, Harold Milhoan Jr. (Gail) of Uniontown, OH and David Milhoan (Rebecca) of North Canton, OH; grandchildren, Natasha Gilbert, Sophia Gilbert, Adam Neff, Katarina Neff, and Isabella Neff; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lisa Grabb officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
