Adam Koch, 87, of Akron, passed away on November 25, 2024. He was born in Gyorkony, Hungary on February 14, 1937 to Adam and Elizabeth Koch. He immigrated to America with his parents and 3 sisters in 1952. Adam graduated from South High School and the University of Akron and while at Akron he played soccer. He enjoyed attending the Indians games with family and vacationing with family and friends. Adam had a passion for antiques, old bottles and stoneware. He was a longtime member of the Ohio Bottle Club and served as President, Vice-President and Show Treasurer. He promoted and chaired many bottle shows in Ohio with the largest being the Toledo Expo in 1992. He loved cooking and making Hungarian Sausage for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother John Koch; and step-daughter Suzette Nebb.
Adam is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Phyllis; daughters Mary (Brad) Stough, Melinda Koch and Cindy Koch Maruna.; step-children Robert (Cyndi) Christ, Steven (Digna) Christ, and Dawn Henson; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth (Michael) Jilling, Theresa Weber, and Mary (Jack) Anton; sister-in-law Ruth Koch; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be no services at this time.
