Alan W. Lympany

Alan W. Lympany, 80, passed away on June 22, 2009. He was born on April 16, 1929 to the late John and Eleanor Lympany. Alan served with the US Navy and retired from the US Post Office in Stow after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his coffee group at North Hill Doughnuts and Eat N Park. Alan was an antique car enthusiast, and most recently was the proud owner of an Excalibur. He also enjoyed following the stock market, gardening, flowers, landscaping and working on his home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Byron. He is survived by his loving wife Sally, of 40 years; sons John (Donna), Brad, and Michael (Brandy); grandchildren Hannah, Lindsay, and Trenton; sisters-in-law Julia (Harold) Shaw and Elizabeth Lympany; and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
