Alan W. Verner, 52, passed away on September 18, 2006. Born March 15, 1954 in Akron to the late Wayne and Joyce Verner. Alan served with the US Army 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bluegrass music. Survivors include his loving wife Denise of 14 years; son Todd Fisher; sisters Theresa (Larry) Sebrosky and Callie Verner; brother Carl (Patty) Verner; special aunts Raelene and Patricia; and special friends Mark and Sherry. Special thanks to Hospice Care Center. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Friday, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Rev.
