Albert "Jack" Ledford
Albert "Jack" Ledford, 80, of Brimfield, Ohio, passed away on October 26, 2004. He was born on April 5, 1924 in Burnsville, North Carolina and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee. Jack served in the U.S. Army having served in both WWII and the Korean War. He is a retired Iron Worker from Local 17 with 24 years service. He is preceded in death by his son, Albert Samuel Ledford. Jack was the beloved husband of Bernice (Dunavent) for 58 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Bob (Karen), Larry (Dian) and Rick (Tammy) all of Ohio. Jack was the loving grandfather of Cheryl, Bobby, Donny, David, Christina, Ricky Jr. and Jessica; great-grandfather to Nathan, Natalie, Shymberli, Raychel and David Jr.; dear brother of Nell Rader, Tex Lipps and Morris Ledford all of Tennessee; many special nieces and nephews. Jack was very much loved by all who knew him. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 - 9 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jon P. Yarian officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
