Albert Alden Lester, "Al", age 77, of Mogadore, Ohio, died on August 13, 2021 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on May 1, 1944 in Akron, the son of the late Garnett and Marjorie (nee Culton) Lester.
Mr. Lester was an honorably discharged US Army National Guardsman, serving during the Vietnam War.
Al worked and retired from Goodyear as a rubber worker after 41 years of service.
Al enjoyed talking and telling stories, he never, ever met a stranger. He loved to chop wood and take care of his yard and just absolutely loved the outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Barbara Kindel, whom he married on May 23, 1981; his daughter, Dawn (Jonathan) Myers; his grandchildren, Jensen and Kennedy Myers; and many in-laws that he loved.
Other than his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Lester, James Lester and Hazel Cruise.
There will be private graveside services at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
